Track Reviews
Jubbal frequents track days in the Southwestern and West Coast US regions, usually serving as a HPDE instructor with various organizations. Jubbal has completed instructor training and is nationally accredited as a Porsche Club of America HPDE instructor, but also instructs with Speed Ventures, Audi Club, and other groups.
If you have an upcoming track day and would like your car reviewed on track, fill out the form below and we'll be in touch. It's possible we may be attending your upcoming event, and if not, we can coordinate the review for a future track day event.
Example Track Reviews
Safety is always the #1 top priority. While Jubbal will push his own cars to 10/10ths on track, he won't push other vehicles past 9/10ths. We're focused on reviewing how a car behaves on track, therefore we won't be taking berms aggressively, getting frisky with braking zones, or chasing lap times.
We also prefer that, if comfortable being passenger, the owner joins in the passenger seat.
Should anything happen, we're covered by a commercial insurance policy, covering reviewing cars both on track and on the street.
Track Review Excursions
Occasionally Kevin Jubbal from Jubbal & Cars joins forces with Fenton Sun from Zygrene on track day excursions, whereby we attend a track day primarily for filming track reviews.
Because these excursions are far from where we live, we don't bring our own vehicles to track, and instead fly in and focus on filming reviews during the event.
Similar to Jubbal, Fenton is also a passionate and seasoned driving enthusiast with ample seat time when reviewing cars near the limit on track. He's reviewed several dozens of vehicles on track, and a few hundred on the canyons that are collated on his Zygrene Performance Index.
Zygrene carries an identical commercial insurance policy as Jubbal & Cars for covering vehicle reviews, both on track and on street.
If you would like Jubbal and Fenton to review your vehicle at an upcoming track day, fill out the form below and we'll be in touch.
Frequently Asked QUestions
How long does a review take?
For track reviews, expect approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on whether it's a solo review or a comparison with another car.
Seat time is generally approximately 15 minutes per vehicle on track, but additional time is needed to gather b roll, take photos, ask questions, etc.
Additionally, if there are other car reviewers attending that you have granted permission to also review your car (e.g. Zygrene), this may alter time estimates. On track, using 15-20 minutes of two separate run groups may be necessary to allow adequate vehicle warm-up, cool-down, and seat time. Alternatively, Jubbal and Fenton can review the car together in a single session back-to-back, although additional time for b roll and photos would be needed before or after the session.
Can I sit passenger while you film?
Absolutely! For track reviews, we prefer you join as a passenger. However, if you feel uneasy or get carsick as a passenger, we can also review your car solo.
What happens if my car is damaged?
We take the greatest care in treating your vehicle just as well, if not more carefully than we would treat our own. Should anything unexpected occur, we carry a commercial insurance policy to in excess of the value of the vehicles we review. This insurance covers reviews both on street and on track.
